RINTIS 2023 ( Fine Arts, Music, Drama and Theatre)
The theme of RINTIS this year, which is “self-illumination”, took inspiration from the natural spectacle of the "aurora borealis" and the inherent notion of an "aura" that is present in nature scenes, which represented that each individual (student) has an equal right to tap and bloom their own uniqueness in a designated period of brilliant moments, particularly the brilliant moments in their final year project. As mentioned in the so-called “self-illumination” as the main theme of this year's RINTIS, it was concerning to students' unique personalities that indirectly reflect their personal efforts and self-worth within their respective artistic creations, as it aligns with the notion that was mentioned above that “the period of personal brilliant moments” only occurs and appears within a specific schedule timeframe.
Hence, when this concept is seamlessly integrated into the explanation of the students' regarding their achievement in final year projects, a profound connection is established. Each student encapsulates exceptional qualities and brilliance that are unique to them and can only be experienced within specific timeframes. At this point, The audience's active engagement and appreciation are crucial in fully capturing the distinct artistic value of the students and their artwork creations. This process can be metaphorically compared to the appreciation of natural marvels, particularly the awe-inspiring radiance of the aurora borealis. Just as witnessing the inherent beauty of the aurora must require the alignment of fortuitous factors such as favourable timing, geographical factors, and human conditions, all of which must take place so that it will effectively witness its inherent beauty through first-hand experience.
