DR. SITI ROHAYA YAHAYA

Senior Lecturer

Dr. Siti Rohaya Yahaya holds the position of Senior Lecturer at The School of The Arts, Universiti Sains Malaysia. She has attained a Doctorate from the University of Malaya, focusing on craft development and material perception. Additionally, she possesses a Master's Degree in Design Technology, specifically in textile materials, emphasising the utilisation of oil palm fibre in textile weaving, which Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia, conferred. Her scholarly pursuits centre around several key domains, including textile material and design, craft and heritage design, eco-textile and fashion, eco-materials for textile development, and material perception and user acceptance. Dr. Yahaya has demonstrated her commitment to academic discourse through her active participation in disseminating knowledge, evidenced by her publication record and active engagement in delivering research contributions at seminars and academic conferences. Her research endeavours encompass diverse topics, such as natural fibres, textile materials, batik design, and craft weaving.
