Ts. Dr. Jasni Dolah is a Senior Lecturer at the School of the Arts, Universiti Sains Malaysia, specializing in Design & New Media Technology. He earned his Computer Graphic Design qualifications from Wanganui Polytechnic, New Zealand, in 1994. His academic journey continued with a master's degree in Visual Communication & New Media from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2006. Joining Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2010, Dr. Jasni swiftly completed a PhD in Instructional Multimedia within just 2 years and 8 months. His teaching portfolio covers a range of subjects, including History of New Media, Fundamentals of Computer Graphics, Digital Video Production, and Research Methodology, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He's also actively supervising students in areas such as Educational Multimedia, Visual Communication, and Computer Graphics Design. With 17 years of industry experience at multinational corporations like TV3, ASTRO, and MRCB, Dr. Jasni has maintained a strong connection to the practical world. His expertise has led to appointments as an senior panel for the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) and Malaysian Board of Technology (MBOT), focusing on Creative Multimedia, Animation, Visual Communication, and New Media Design for over a decade. Dr. Jasni's contributions extend beyond the classroom. He's presented numerous papers at both local and international conferences and has been published in esteemed journals such as Procedia Journal of Social and Behavioral Science, Turkish Online Journal of Education Technology, eJCSIT, and IEEEXplore Journal. Additionally, he co-founded and chaired the 1st and 2nd International Conferences on Creative Media, Design & Technology (REKA2014 and REKA2016), and played pivotal roles in other academic symposiums and conferences. As an active scholar, he took on the role of Founding Author and Editor-in-Chief for the Malaysian Journal of Creative Media, Design & Technology (REKAJOURNAL). His professional achievements were recently acknowledged by the Malaysian Board of Technology (MBOT), where he was granted the title of Ts. (Professional Technologist).
