Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) Graphic Communication
Graphic Communication course is a four (4) year degree programme. The program is designed to ensure students are equipped with the right skills in the fields of graphic design and communication. Students will receive experiential knowledge in a supportive learning environment. The programme trains students to be independent and forward thinking creative designers who will be able to cater to the demands of the Graphic design industry. Our comprehensive hands-on teaching approach is aligned with design theories and cultural adaptations of the industry. Encouraging the students to think critically, explore problem-solving design projects, design management, experience art directing, and experience electronic printing operation skills is what we specialise in.
Creative Director, Graphic Designer, Exhibition Designer, Advertising Designer, Public Relations, Packaging Designer, Design Educationist, Print Media Designer, Illustrator, Visualizer, Design Promoters, Design Writer, Marketing, Design Manager, Management, Advertising and Business Field.
Minimum entry requirements to all programmes are Malaysian Higher School Certificate of Education and Malaysian Certificate of Education with a credit pass in Bahasa Malaysia. Applicants with previous professional / industrial experience may be accepted in lieu of some, or all, of the formal academic requirements.
As for the international students, academic qualifications which are considered to be equivalent will be placed into consideration. Applicants will be advised on the matter.
STPM with PNGK 2.00, MUET-band 2, interview & audition, art & design portfolio (to be reviewed during interview)
Matriculation with PNGK 2.00 (for applicants from matriculation programme only)
Diplomas with PNGK 2.00 that are recognized by the university senate (for applicants from diploma programme only) AND pass the USM interview.
