Profile

Safrizal Shahir is a senior lecturer at The School of The Arts, USM. He graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Art in Fine Art from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak in 2001 and Master of Arts degree in Art History from the University of Adelaide in 2008. He obtained Ph.D. in the Visual art from Australian National University in 2017. Safrizal is attached to Fine Art Section at USM and teaches art history and art theory-related courses. His research interest includes topics such as modern Malaysian art history, art and Islam and drawing practice.
